With the support of the City of Ottawa’s Ottawa 200 Artist/Creator Grant Program, local letterpress artist Cody McCallum (she/her) of Lucky Press is launching a brand new public art installation, Ottawa Imprints – an interactive “art vending machine”. Starting June 3, 2026, visitors to Past Lives Thrift Shop (194 Nepean St.) can donate $2 into the manual retro-style vending machine, turn the crank, and receive an original letterpress mini-print featuring Ottawa architectural landmarks such as Parliament Hill and the National Art Gallery, as well as contemporary local favourites like Arlington Five coffee shop and Dominion City brewery.

Each print is printed by hand in Cody’s art studio: Lucky Press Print Shop, on an antique 1950’s letterpress printing press. All toonies collected will be donated to Odawa Native Friendship Centre.
